ipsy December 2014

My personal image.
The December bag was great except for the actual bag. I'm not a huge fan of black. Also mine looked cheap. It had random stitching that was off and it was not a very good shape either. It was just off. I wish it was better quality. It had the potential to be a very nice bag but just fell short for me. However, I loved my products!

Check out my ipsy Pinterest board here.

Here are the awesome products!

A lot of people said this facial cleanser dried their skin out and I already have dry skin and this didn't over dry my skin. I just made sure to use extra moisturizer after using this. It cleans the face wonderfully and I think it actually made made the quality of my skin better. I loved getting this and I may purchase the full size product. This sample has gone a long way.

This was my second brush experience with Crown Brush and I have to say I am super pleased. This is double ended so it is super convenient to use. It is incredibly soft. The first brush I tried was very scratchy and this one is just amazing. I used ipsy points and got another one I loved it so much.

There were four shade options in this NYX butter balm and I received Red Velvet. Thankfully it isn't as intense as it appears from the tube. I love the hint of color since it is a balm. It feels great on the lips. I wouldn't mind having all shades of this balm, of course, that is a little impractical.

I was very pleased with this product. I was actually surprised with this. With the name you would think this was a very shimmery or glittery product but it isn't. It is just amazing. The shade we received

tarte deluxe lights, camera, lashes™ 4-in-1 mascara

Ipsters received this adorable mini tarte mascara! Besides being super cute it is amazing! This mascara is wonderful. I couldn't say enough great things about it. It combs the lashes so great giving great length and definition. I really love this and I'd like to try the waterproof version as well.

Overall, my December was great. The products were wonderful for me. I loved every single product, which is an awesome plus. I didn't like the makeup bag this month but at least what was inside was great.

ipsy November 2014

My personal image

The makeup bag this month was super cute. The glitter and pink go well together. It was just cute.

Check out my ipsy Pinterest board here.

Alright now the products I got.

I have never heard of Demeter before getting this in my bag. I am always a little hesitant when it comes to trying out fragrances so I wasn't too excited to get this perfume oil. I really love that you it is travel friendly. Just toss it into your purse and you are out the door. The scent is very sweet. It is okay. I wouldn't personally pick this our and purchase it but it isn't unbearable or anything. It doesn't last very long once you put it on. You have to apply it throughout the day. I like wearing this to work because the scent isn't overpowering and it doesn't last that long.

I was excited to get this eyeliner. I was disappointed when I received it however. I didn't know that it came with glitter in it. It isn't the worst thing ever, but as an adult you usually don't wear straight up glitter pieces on your eyes, or I don't. Overall the product is fine I just didn't like the glitter aspect of it.

I got this not thinking too much about it, however I was surprised! This is a great lip crayon. The color is super pigmented. It went on very smoothly. It stayed on the lips for a good period of time when not eating or drinking of course.

This polish is exclusive to ipsy and the shade is called Guys & Galaxies. It is a beautiful glitter. It works great over a base color and with a little work you can make it opaque on its own. Of course since it is a glitter polish you will kill yourself taking this off your nails. It is stunning, but a slight pain in the rear.

This highlighter came in a gorgeous shade called Pink Pearl. It is a tiny baby sample size, however, since it is liquid it should last a good while. By just swatching it on the back of my hand I couldn't really get a good feel for the product. I didn't know if I was going to like it or not, but I really do now that I've had the chance to wear on my face. It is a very beautiful highlighter. It is an airbrush highlighter however you can use it just like normal liquid one. I really loved this little thing. However, I don't see myself purchasing the full size product for the price and because I'd rather use a powder finish instead of liquid.

Overall, my November bag was great. All the products were a good choice for me. I loved the lip crayon and the highlighter.

ipsy October 2014

My personal image

October's bag was an adorable teal quilted pattern. It is super chic and perfect for my style.

Check out my ipsy Pinterest board here.

Here are the products!

This is a great product. It is extremely lightweight. This does wonders for frizz and fly aways. It really moisturizes hair without weighing it down. It smells great as well. You don't have to use a lot to get great results with this product. This makes your hair silky soft and smooth.

There were two scent options for this hand cream. Mango Mandarin or Rose Berry and I received the Rose Berry one. I really like it. At first the texture was quite strange but after you use it a couple of times you get used it. It is a watery feel until you rub in the product in and after that your hands feel so silky soft. I'd like to try the other scent as well. Besides the product being good the packaging is super adorable.

There were six color options in this eye shadow and I received Plum Frost. I am so glad that I got this color. It is such a pretty shade. It works well with my skin tone. I didn't really see any other shade that I would like so I'm very thankful I got this color.

These facial wipes are wonderful! The scent is amazing plus they work really well. This sample pack actually had a lot more wipes than I thought. A lot of people complained about them but I don't think they were rubbing the cloth to make it lather and that does make a difference. I thought these were amazing.

This adorably sized sample came in the shade Guilty Pleasure. Starlooks claims this is a non-sticky formula, however, I found this very sticky. I'm not a huge fan of lip gloss anyway but I tried giving it a chance. This product was fine but it just wasn't for me. However, if you like lip gloss you may like this. It has a slight sweet scent which was okay and if you don't like a scent then you may not like this.

Overall, this bag was pretty good. I really like the design of the makeup bag. I really liked everything but the lip gloss. I loved the facial cloths and they eye shadow.

ipsy September 2014

My personal image

I'm sure a lot loved this bag however I didn't really care for it. I'm just not a fan of grays and blacks when it comes to bags and accessories. It is pretty but just not for me personally. However, no big deal.

Check out my ipsy Pinterest board here

Here are the products that I received.

Clicking the name of each product will send you to the ipsy web page for that product.

I got this beautiful lipstick from Hikari Cosmetics. I had never heard of this brand before so I was excited to try this out. First off this is a very pretty color. The shade is called Cabernet. I really loved it. I'm wearing the lipstick in this Instagram post. It's is a creamy texture. The color is opaque. I'd say I got a good 5 or 6 hours wear time with this. The color fades nicely into a stain type look. Of course wear time will vary depending on if you are eating and drinking. I love this lipstick. Also, this is a matte finish and can be slightly drying for some so be conscious of that and use a lip balm before applying if needed to get your lips hydrated.

I got the color Fringe, which is a brown shade. I'm very thankful for that because I don't see myself wearing the gun metal color. This brown is a nice everyday shade. I like it for "no makeup" makeup looks. I like wearing it to work as well because it gives a hint of definition to the eye without drawing too much attention. Overall this isn't a bad eye pencil at all. Some also use this for their brows. I personally haven't tried it but I don't see why it wouldn't work especially since it is a waterproof formula.

First off, it took me like a week to get the tiny plastic seal off this powder! I just couldn't get my hands to work for me, haha! This is a great setting powder. I used it under my eyes, around my nose, and on my cheeks. It really helped with shine and minimizing the look of pores. It gives off a slight airbrushed looked. It is a great powder. It really makes your skin appear flawless.

I used this the first time and wasn't really impressed. I didn't think it did that much to my hair, however, whenever I went to work my coworker was like your hair looks great. I'm like, oh thanks, not really thinking anything about it. Well, then I realized whenever I used this they would mention my hair looked great. They said it looks so healthy and pretty. I guess this works after all. I just wasn't seeing it like everyone else was. Overall, after hearing comments about my hair I'd recommend this for sure. It's lightweight yet moisturizing. I give it a thumbs up.

First let me state that if you don't like organic smells then stay away from this. I loved the actual product however hated the smell. I got used to the smell the more I used it but goodness did I hate it. The cleanser worked great for me and I would have bought a full size if it wasn't for the scent. I just wasn't feeling the cucumber and watercress at all. Overall great face cleanser, but the downside is that scent for me.

All in all I liked my products this month. The bag wasn't my favorite but that's okay with me. We can't be 100% satisfied all the time. I'm really loving ipsy and all the different products I've received so far.

ipsy August 2014

My personal image

The bag for August was cute. It goes well with back to school. It is a cute white with orange polka dot pencil case.

I was excited about this balm until I actually got it because I received the grape flavor instead of the green apple. I hate grape, sadly. Other than that it was okay. I don't grab it a lot because of the flavor though and the fact it has glitter in it.

This product is fantastic. It works super well at minimizing pores and creating a smooth canvas for your foundation. I only use this on my cheeks and around my nose. You can use it wherever you need to. I really enjoyed this sample. This does have a scent so if you don't like that then you might want to stay away from this. I personally didn't mind the smell. Once you have the product on the smell fades away.

I couldn't say enough about this mascara. It is amazing. It makes your lashes extremely black and super long. It is a little wet so be careful when applying it, but other than that it is perfect. I loved everything about this sample. I however can't bring myself to pay $22 for a mascara. If you have the money to just throw at makeup then for sure give it a shot. Everyone has different eye and eyelashes so what works great for me may not work great for you.

Not going to lie this was seriously a baby sample. However, I didn't really mind that aspect of it. The colors were both very pretty and wearable. I have light skin and these worked great for me. It was a little challenging to sample each color but you can do it. I liked the colors together as well. All in all the quality is very nice. They are pigmented and durable. I would like to try out more shades.

This was a little baby sized eyeliner. It was okay. Nothing to rush out and purchase especially for the price tag. There are better ones in my opinion at the drug store. I personally didn't really love this, however, you may.

Overall my bag this month was pretty good. The samples were a little on the small side but that is okay with me. I really loved the mascara, primer, and blush. Three out of five isn't too bad.

ipsy June 2014

My personal image.

June's bag was designed by Rebecca Minkoff. It is very pretty and perfect for Summer. I really love it.

Lets dive into the products!

This mascara seems to be hit and miss with each bag. Mine didn't smell off or anything thankfully. I tried this out and it is a okay mascara. It doesn't do a whole lot for my lashes. It does an excellent job at separating the lashes but that is about it. This is a good everyday or work mascara.

Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray

This beach spray was good and smelled great. It worked as it is supposed to. I wouldn't run out to purchase this again though because I personally don't like styling my hair wavy or "beachy." I prefer my hair just straight. I liked using this and then pulling my hair into a high pony. It gave good texture.

Nicka K New York Shimmer Eyeliner

There were two color options for this liner and I received the blue. I'm not a big fan of the color because you can't wear it daily. The formula was great. Went on super easily and lasted all day. Sadly, I wish I had different color.

There were three color options you could receive and I got the shade Apple Strudel. This was my first time trying a NYX Butter Gloss and I'm in love. The shade is stunning for me and the formula is just fantastic. I would love to have just about every shade. It is super creamy and pigmented as well. I was pleased with this product.

This sample came with three shades. I used the light shade and it worked great for me. This was a very nice product. I enjoyed using it and would recommend it to others. It looked great on the skin and was light to medium coverage.

Overall this bag was okay for me. I really loved the bag design this month. I didn't feel I needed to run out and purchase the full size of each product I received however I did enjoy trying each one. I really loved the NYX Butter Gloss.

ipsy April 2014

My personal image.

This was amazing! A little goes a long way. I still have plenty of my sample left to use. It is easy to apply and build up if you want a stronger color. I had wanted this for so long and all my waiting paid off since I got this in my second bag! It was as wonderful as I had hoped it to be. Plus, this sample size is just adorable.

This amazing Cailyn lip balm came in two shades and I received the shade acid pink which is a crazy hot pink. It is stunning. I wouldn't call these a "lip balm" because they are like a lip stick. It is super pigmented and long lasting, for me anyway. It has a nice matte finish and it didn't feel too drying on the lips. A lot of people dislike the packaging but I think it so smart. The lip brush is made into the cap, which I think is just amazing. If you want to touch up on the go it's perfect. I would love to own nearly every shade, haha, impractical I know.

This is such a creamy eye pencil. I've never tried an Urban Decay eye pencil before and this is a pretty good size to test out. It is super pigmented. This stays on pretty well. I really like this for the tightline or the waterline because the pencil glides on so smoothly. It didn't irritate my eye or contacts which is a super plus. It is a really great product.

When first trying out this product I didn't really enjoy it. I just wasn't comfortable using it. After trying it out I like it. It is a pretty highlighter. I love to use it on my cheek bones and my brow bone. I'm quite a pale person and this works great for me.

There were five different styles of lashes sent out and I got the "Shy" style. They are very pretty. I loved them. I didn't enjoy the glue and opted to use my own the next time I wore these, however, I really enjoyed the lashes. They feel so comfortable on and looked great.

Overall April's bag was great! I really liked everything I got. I don't really see me using the bag all that much but it's pretty cute with the record on it. All the products were great choices for me, so great job ipsy on that.

ipsy March 2014

This was my first glam bag that started my addiction shall I say. Interesting design on this bag. I really liked the art aspect of it.

This mini lipstick is just too adorable. The color is stunning. This is a pink shade that would be wearable for many skin tones. It applies very creamy. The color is very pigmented and quite durable. It lasts for hours on the lips especially if you're not eating or drinking a lot. After eating I still had color just not as much of course. I really enjoyed the formula and wouldn't mind having a few of the shades.

I wasn't too sure about this nail polish until I actually received it and tried it out. I really love it. It is textured but not rough like you would think. I thought it was going to feel like sand and snag your sweaters or something, however that isn't the case at all. It's smooth yet bumpy, if that helps anyone. The shade is very wearable. I would love to find more of the roughles collection.

This is my first item from Be a Bombshell and I am very pleased. I love all the colors especially the copper shade. These are very pigmented and easy to work with. I am so happy I received this in my first bag.

This is was my first time trying a Pixi product. I'm not huge on primers because I really can't find one that works so great that I want to wear it before foundation every single time I apply makeup. This one is no exception. It's a radiant nude shade. It makes the skin look very pretty. It just isn't something I personally need to run out and purchase. If you happen to love primers I would say give this a try. It's a great product just something I wouldn't necessarily grab for each day. Also, if you have oily skin you may want to use this sparingly because it is very glowy and luminous.

Overall for my first Glam Bag I was very pleased. It was well worth the $10 a month. You can use these product more than a single use which in my opinion is just amazing for a sampling subscription.
