ipsy April 2015

The theme for April 2015 is Beautifully Bohemian. I wouldn't say bohemian is my style choice, but hey no biggie we can roll with that.

The bag this month is larger than usual, which I appreciate. However, I'm not a huge fan of the material which is like a straw or something with the colored material woven in. It is really adorable for those who like the material. Mine won't get much use, sadly.

Let's look at the products that I got!

This is some pretty sweet hair serum. I liked the scent a lot and it made my hair silky smooth. I really like that this came in a glass bottle. I thought it was just plastic until I sat it down on my bathroom counter and I'm almost certain it's glass. This is pretty generous size to sample so I'm very pleased, especially since I have long hair.
This is Mally so that is just amazing. A lot of people know and love this brand. This eyeliner went on creamy and I wouldn't say it is waterproof because it literally rubs right off. Also I'm not a huge fan of the glitter in it. I probably won't even use this whole pencil because the glitter. I just wish it was glitter free then I would use this up in a flash. I believe this is full size.
I have had Hikari in a previous Glam Bag. It was September 2014 and it was a lipstick that I loved, so I had good vibes when I saw I was getting this blush from them. Well, it is amazing just like my lipstick. This is a stunning color with crazy pigmentation. You barely have to touch your brush to the product to get a ton of color. This is great for Spring and Summer. I am sure I will use the heck out of this. Also, this is full sized - high five!
I didn't get the shade "Flirty" shown in my picture above. They didn't have a picture of the shade I received called "Fit." It is a shimmery copper color. It is a lot like the colors I have gotten in the past. I don't think there is anything special about the color and the formula seems fine. The big thing is this eyeshadow is from the Balm which is a popular brand. I'm glad I got a product from the Balm but my shade is easily overlooked.
This lip and cheek tint is not a tint at all! Let's be real here...there isn't a bit of color payoff from this. It looks like there would be tint from the color in the adorable little tin but there just isn't any. It has a strange scent and I'm not too fond of that but it is good at hydrating the lips before you put on your lip product for the day. I put this on as I'm getting ready and let it sit on my lips a while and wipe off the excess and go in with whatever lip product I'm going to use that day. It works great that way. I haven't even tried to put this on my cheeks. I imagine it would look like oil on your face because there isn't any color and it is just a balm. This is a mini sample so I couldn't imagine paying full price for a full sized lip and cheek tint and surprise there is no tint.
